GENERAL MANAGER
North Harbour Stadium is a 25,000 seat multi-purpose sport and entertainment venue, located on 28 hectares of Auckland's North Shore. It hosts elite sports events, major concerts and other events including community focused events. The business and buildings are owned and operated by an Independent Trust and it is home to key hirers/tenants, both sporting and non-sporting. The Trust also operates the Harbour Function Centre, hosting conferences, trade shows and private functions for up to 60,000 guests per annum.
The Trust seeks to appoint a new General Manager who will lead the organisation through a period of change and considerable opportunity around the Auckland Super City development, RWC 2011 and beyond. This will require inspirational leadership of a capable management team and an uncompromising approach to customer service whilst providing outstanding entertainment experiences to an increasingly discerning audience.
If you have a track record of outstanding leadership in large scale event management, hospitality/tourism, venue management or commercial services then this is for you. With strong commercial skills, entrepreneurial flair and successful leadership of change, you will be able to strategically assess opportunities for development of the wider facility and diversification of its services.
