Our Ownership and Deed of Trust

North Harbour Stadium, opened in March 1997, is owned and operated by an Independent Charitable Trust officially incorporated as the North Shore Domain and North Harbour Stadium Trust Board. The 28 hectares of land upon which the Trust operates is owned by North Shore City Council and North Harbour Stadium holds a perpetual lease on the land and owns the buildings and business operations.

In 1995 a Deed of Trust was established between North Shore City Council and North Harbour Stadium. This makes explicit the Charitable Objects and Purposes of North Harbour Stadium. In brief the Trust applies its capital and income to being a sporting and cultural/entertainment facility for the benefit of the public and in the interests of social and community welfare and recreation particularly the residents of the North Shore.

The Deed of Trust and North Harbour Stadium incorporation are the legal foundations for the business. The following purpose, vision and strategies guide explicitly the direction and management priorities of the businesses. These were established in 2006 as part of a strategic planning process.
