Regional Facilities Auckland's stadium strategy has been the subject of considerable debate and discussion over the past three years, including most recently a public consultation exercise held as part of Auckland Council's 2014/2015 annual plan process.

Formerly operated by an Independent Charitable Trust, in May 2014 QBE Stadium became the third facility to be managed and operated by  Auckland Stadiums.

Auckland Stadiums is a division of Regional Facilities Auckland and is responsible for transforming the region's stadiums' landscape to deliver sustainable, world-class and fit-for-purpose facilities.

Along with QBE Stadium, Auckland Stadiums directly manage, operate and promote Mt Smart Stadium and Western Springs and work collaboratively with Eden Park, The Trusts Arena, Vodafone Events Centre, North Shore Events Centre, Vector Arena, and the ASB Tennis Centre.

Auckland Stadiums is responsible for transforming the region's stadiums' landscape to deliver sustainable, world-class and fit-for-purpose facilities.

The establishment of Auckland Stadiums is a transformational response to a major challenge facing Auckland - finding the best way to most efficiently manage our regional stadiums.
